Abstract

Photocopied pages from the diary kept by Captain John Burk of Falltown (Bernardston), Mass., while he was serving in Col. Timothy Ruggles' regiment during the Crown Point Expedition of 1755. Burk describes the progress of the construction of fortifications and the Battle of Lake George, Sept. 8, 1755.
